Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe's Chairman, Harold Frazier spoke with reporters Sunday Feb. 19 about his views of the impending deadline to vacate the Oceti Sakowin Camp at Standing Rock. Hundreds of campers remain in the area, and numerous new camps have started to receive an influx of people. Chairman Frazier explains the tribe's legal efforts, their support of the Water Protectors, and his view on the state and federal actions taken to support the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline Asked if he thought violence was inevitable when the police moved against the Oceti Sakowin Camp, Chairman Frazier was not optimistic.
